Project Description

Customer requirement was to develop a Linux based computer that would be used in a wearable mobile application. Loaded with lots of I/O including two 10/100 Ethernet ports, Dual mini-PCI slots for RF Radios. An FPGA was used to manage discreet functions such as buttons and LED's as well as integral watchdog timer which was seperate from the CPU making this a very robust embedded system. The very small form factor combined with a unique shape was required to fit into the required mechanical envelope.

This ARM based system manages a li-ion battery pack and is rated for extended temperature range operation as well as being very low power all while being a full fledged Linux computer.
